The Dis.co team was out in force at this year’s Samsung Developer Conference (SDC 2019) held on October 29 and 30, 2019. The 5,800 attendees traveled from around the world to discover the latest technologies from Samsung.

The annual SDC event is designed to inspire developers and partners to collaborate on advancing how Samsung device users can fully utilize innovations like Bixby, SmartThings and the blockchain ecosystem.

Attendees listened in as Samsung Electronics President and CEO, DJ Koh, delivered a keynote focused on Samsung’s plans for the future. Hands-on sessions provided developers with the opportunity to test-drive many new technologies. Additional keynote presentations provided more detailed introductions to Samsung technologies.

Dis.co’s Event Participation

For Dis.co, SDC 2019 was a fantastic opportunity to introduce our secure, serverless computing solution. We connected with developers during a speaking session, at the demo booth, and in the Code Lab.

During a speaking session, Developer Evangelist, Raymond Lo, delivered a technical presentation about Dis.co. He explained how the platform delivers infinite compute power to tackle the most demanding computing workloads. Attendees learned how Dis.co saves development time and cost on specific use cases. To show the power of Dis.co, Raymond shared details about a specific use case – how it enables intelligent video processing at scale.

At the end of his speaking session, Raymond invited developers to the Code Lab where they got hands-on keyboard experience by taking a test-drive.

In addition, the team conducted dozens of demos at our booth for attendees who wanted to learn more about how Dis.co works. There was a tremendous amount of interest from attendees that included executives, potential partners, developers, and Samsung employees.
